A hearing was held in Lahore High Court in Nankana city of Pakistan for allegedly converting Sikh girl to marriage. The High Court directed to find out the real age of the girl and sent her to the shelter home for 10 days.

According to the news of IANS, the court heard the petition of Manmohan Singh, brother of Ayesha alias Jagjit Kaur. The girl was produced in the court amidst tight security. On the court’s order, the girl was met with her brother Manmohan in a separate room.

After the meeting, Manmohan told the court, “My sister is under pressure. She should be given some time.” After this, the judge asked the girl what did you decide during the meeting with your brother. The girl told the court that the brother kept asking her to walk back home, but she did not want to go back.

On this, Manmohan’s lawyer said that Jagjit was abducted by a person named Hasan . A kidnapping case is also registered in Nankana Sahib against him. He said that Jagjit Kaur is a minor, she is fifteen and a half years old and the accused abducted her with bad intentions.

The lawyer said that to find out the age of Jagjit, an application has been made to the magistrate in Nankana Sahib but he is not taking any decision. He appealed to the High Court to order the girl’s age to get her medical done.
